Date & Time: June 11, 2009 6:30pm
Main Course: We had the old stand by ground beef with a taco seasoning packet. We served them in flour tortillas and hard shell tacos. I enjoyed a double decker, being a crispy taco wrapped with a flour tortilla with beans and cheese in between and the standard crispy taco fillings. Makes me hungry just typing about it.
Sides: Sour cream; very garlicky (that’s in the spell checkers?) pinto beans with out any chorizo sausage (we ran out and I forgot to pout it on the list…); salsa from a jar and about 6 chips chips; Franks hot sauce; Mexican shredded cheese; lettuce; and jalapeño hot sauce (which Sue brought over).
Beverage / Libation: wine form a box and a large bottle of Yellow Tail merlot which was missing a couple of glasses…
Desert: Left over cupcakes, From Delia’s birthday
Guests: Tom and Sue, and Aunt Liz.
Misc.: All three kids enjoyed dancing around the living to the Chicken Dance and Elvis.
Cheers,

"Liz who?" or "Two Liz's no waiting" or "I'm the Tooth Fairy and I'm an alcoholic"
Date & Time: June 4, 2009 6:30pm
Main Course: The grill was fired up and alts of food was cooked and only some of it was over cooked... We had steak and chicken breasts with lots of thick cut onions and grilled red and yellow bell peppers. The meat was seasoned with the standard of late season salt, I admit I've gotten lazy but I enjoy the flavor. The meat was maybe a little over cooked but still good. The flank steak was still pink and the chicken was still juicy. White and whole wheat flour tortillas were available of which I'm not sure I can tell the difference between if blind folded.
Sides: Sour cream; Newly cooked pinto beans with lots of chorizo sausage; salsa from a jar and chips; home made guacamole; Mexican grated cheese; and Franks hot sauce.
Beverage / Libation: A bottle of white and a bottle of chardonnay plus a large bottle of Merlot which was not completely drank.
Desert: a bag of 22 funny English candies which included: smarties (like little M&MS), some sort of white chocolate chip things, a chocolate bar and pastlies some sort of gummy candy.
Guests: Tom, Sue and there aughter Lizzie; Jon my brother aka uncle blue hair; Liz my sister aka Liz.
Misc.: Wyatt was supposed to act like he had no idea who Liz was when she showed up but he failed to play along. Liz also managed to knock a tooth out of Noah's mouth. I think she hit him with a pillow or something. This lead to the tragedy of realizing the tooth fairy may have a drinking problem and failed to stop by which resulted in one distraught 7 year old Friday morning....

Texas Friends, Yes 'em
Date & Time: May 28, 2009 5:30pm
Main Course: We lit the grill and cooked up some tasty boneless chicken breasts and onions seasoned with season salt and grilled perfectly. I also warmed large burrito size flour tortillas on the grill to pick up the tasty grease from the grate. That’s tasty
Sides: Sour cream; black beans with out any chorizo sausage (we had a picky guest); salsa from a jar and chips; and Franks hot sauce.
Beverage / Libation: wine, a couple bottles…
Desert: Left over cups cakes from Carolyns birthday party on Monday.
Guests: Tom and Sue, Lisa and Trey their one year old twins and Trey’s son Hunter.
Misc.: Noah enjoyed playing with Hunter. This is late since I was out last Friday for Wyatt’s preschool graduation. He’s starting kindergarten next year.

Hmmm grilled food
Date & Time: May 21, 2009 6:30pm
Main Course: We lit the grill and cooked up some tasty boneless chicken thighs and Shriner onions. I also warmed the flour tortillas on the grill to pick up the tasty grease from the grate. Hmm that’s
Sides: Sour cream; black beans with of chorizo sausage; salsa from a jar and chips; and Franks hot sauce.
Beverage / Libation: wine I imagine…
Desert: none
Guests: Tom and Sue.
Misc.: Clearly my memory is short since I can barely remember even having burrito night last week. Memorial Day (yesterday) involved BBQed ribs the cooked for about 5.5 hours. They could have used a little bit more smoky flavor. Well anyway today May 26th is Carolyn birthday.

A month of quiet reflection
Date & Time: May 14, 2009 6:30pm
Main Course: Carolyn made tasty chicken enchiladas. They were in corn tortillas with a tomatillo sauce. They were tasty but the corn tortillas got very soggy. Bottom line surprisingly I think I have to say I prefer the standard red enchilada sauce and I’m not sure about whole corn in the filling.
Sides: Sour cream; black beans with of chorizo sausage; salsa from a jar and chips; and hot sauce.
Beverage / Libation: water
Desert: Lemon squares that were tasty but hard to get out of the pan.
Guests: Tom; Sue showed up after we finished eating but we saved her some food anyway.
Misc.:
Peace,

Hmmm Tacos
Date & Time: April 9, 2009 6:30pm
Main Course: We cooked up some tasty ground beef with onions and don’t forget the taco seasoning packet. Yeah yeah we like the taco meat. The kids eat it up so there’s nothing wrong with that. We served it with crunchy taco shells and flour tortillas. I made myself a double decker using both a crispy taco and a flour tortillia.
Sides: Mexican cheese; sour cream; lettuce; black beans with lots of chorizo sausage; salsa from a jar; jalapeño hot sauce.
Beverage / Libation: Beer, wine and vodka..
Desert: I’m sure there was something but I have no idea what…
Guests: Tom and Sue; Sara and her kids Jake and Dylan.
Misc.: The kids ran around. Some children were threatened.
Peace,
NATE
